The palace door, long a symbol of human mastery over stone and gold, now yields to a softer dominion. Orchids, in riotous abundance and delicate patience, have taken possession of the façade. Their tendrils thread through carved reliefs, curl across gilded moldings, and drape over cornices like a living lace that reframes the architecture’s rigid geometry. Petals of cream, fuchsia, and deep purple press against brass knockers; slender stems intermingle with the sculpted vines of the façade until it becomes impossible to tell where craft ends and growth begins.
